# cloider usage, billing, pricing, member, token and whoami

> Reference for the cloider account commands: usage and forecast, monthly bills, current prices, members, API tokens and whoami, and which account actions are dashboard only.

These commands show what is going on in your Cloider account: what it costs this month (`usage`), past bills (`billing`), current prices (`pricing`), who has access (`member`), which API tokens exist (`token`), and who the CLI is acting as (`whoami`). Managing members and tokens is deliberately left to the dashboard, so these commands only read them.

```text
cloider usage | billing | pricing | member | token | whoami [flags]
```

## cloider usage

Show what each resource has cost this month so far, and what the month is forecast to cost.

```text
cloider usage [flags]
```

```bash
cloider usage
```

```text title="Output"
NAME           KIND               STATUS   MONTH TO DATE   FORECAST THIS MONTH
production     cluster            Ready    $38.20          $61.75
staging        cluster            Paused   $4.10           $4.60
orders-db      database           Ready    $12.40          $19.85
blog           app                Ready    $2.05           $3.30
acme-backups   bucket             Ready    $0.09           $0.93
acme           registry project   Ready    $0.01           $0.03
Total                                      $56.85          $90.46
```

The **Total** row adds everything up (it is left out with `-q`). `-o json` prints the API's answer, grouped into `clusters`, `databases`, `apps`, `buckets` and `registry_projects`, each with its `monthly_usage` (`total_cost`, `forecast_this_month`, `forecast_next_month`, `days`).

```bash
# This month's forecast as a number
cloider usage -o json | jq '[.. | .forecast_this_month? // empty] | add'
```

For one resource, see `cloider app usage`, `cloider bucket usage` and `cloider registry usage`. See [Usage](/account/usage) and the [billing model](/concepts/billing-model). MCP tool: `get_usage`.

## cloider billing

List the account's monthly bills. Only the account's **Owner** can see them.

```text
cloider billing [flags]
```

```bash
cloider billing
```

```text title="Output"
MONTH            AMOUNT   STATUS
September 2026   $45.63   Unpaid
August 2026      $38.10   Paid
```

MCP tool: `get_billing`.

### cloider billing show

Show one bill's items, by its month as `cloider billing` lists it.

```text
cloider billing show <month> [flags]
```

```bash
cloider billing show "September 2026"
```

The table has one bold row per billed resource, such as `Cluster: "production"` with its service (`Kubernetes`, `App`, `Bucket`, `Registry` or the database engine) and amount. Below it come that resource's lines, for example compute, persistent volumes or load balancers, each with its description (average usage), quantity and unit (`Compute-Hour`, `GB-Hour`, `Hour`), unit price and amount. The last line is the total:

```text title="Output (last line)"
Total: $45.63 (unpaid)
```

Line descriptions can span several lines, which makes the table hard to read in a narrow terminal. For a script or a spreadsheet, use JSON:

```bash
cloider billing show "September 2026" -o json | jq -r '.items[] | [.description, .service_type, .amount] | @tsv'
```

A month without a bill fails with exit code `4` and lists the months there are: `no bill for "October 2026", there are: September 2026, August 2026`. `-o json` prints the bill. See [Billing](/account/billing) and current prices with [`cloider pricing`](#cloider-pricing).

## cloider pricing

Show Cloider's current prices: compute, volumes, load balancers and storage, and every database plan. This command works without logging in.

```text
cloider pricing [flags]
```

```bash
cloider pricing
```

```text title="Output (prices shown as $X.XX)"
SERVICE    UNIT                  PRICE
cluster    compute unit          $X.XX
cluster    volume per Gi         $X.XX
cluster    load balancer         $X.XX
cluster    cpu to memory ratio   1:X
app        compute unit          $X.XX
app        cpu to memory ratio   1:X
bucket     storage per Gi        $X.XX
registry   storage per Gi        $X.XX
DATABASE     PLAN       PRICE      CPU   RAM   STORAGE   PAUSED
MongoDB      Hobby      $X.XX/mo   ...   ...   ...       $X.XX/mo
...
PostgreSQL   Pro        $X.XX/mo   ...   ...   ...       $X.XX/mo
```

The first table has one row per billed unit; the second has one row per database engine and plan, ordered `Hobby`, `Starter`, `Basic`, `Standard`, `Plus`, `Pro`, with the plan's monthly price, CPU, RAM, storage and the monthly price while paused. Run the command for the actual figures, or see [Pricing](/reference/pricing). `-o json` prints the API's answer. MCP tool: `get_pricing`.

## cloider member list

List who has access to the account: the owner first, then every member with their role and status.

```text
cloider member list [flags]
```

**Aliases:** `cloider members`, `cloider member ls`.

```bash
cloider member list
```

```text title="Output"
EMAIL                  ROLE         STATUS    NAME       ADDED
billing@acme.example   Owner        Active    Acme Inc   -
jane@example.com       Admin        Active    Jane Doe   2026-08-29 09:30
sam@example.com        Restricted   Pending   -          2026-10-18 16:05
```

A member's role is `Admin` or `Restricted` (read only), and their status `Pending` (invited, not accepted yet), `Active` or `Deactivated`. `-o json` prints the API's list of members, without the owner row. See [Access control](/account/access-control) and [Accounts and roles](/concepts/accounts-and-roles). MCP tool: `list_members`.

### cloider member add, role and remove

Adding members, changing roles and removing members are done in the dashboard only. An API token can't do them, so a leaked token can't grant itself or anyone else more access. `cloider member add`, `cloider member role` and `cloider member remove` exist so the CLI tells you where to go:

```bash
cloider member add
```

```text title="Output"
Error: Adding members is done in the dashboard, an API token can't do it: https://cloider.com/dashboard/access-control
```

They accept and ignore any arguments and flags, and exit with code `1`.

## cloider token list

List the account's API tokens. Owners and admins see every token of the account; other members see their own.

```text
cloider token list [flags]
```

**Aliases:** `cloider tokens`, `cloider token ls`.

```bash
cloider token list
```

```text title="Output"
DESCRIPTION                    ACCESS         CREATED BY         LAST USED   CREATED            THIS CLI
Cloider CLI on janes-macbook   Read & Write   jane@example.com   just now    2026-10-20 09:02   *
GitHub Actions deploy          Read & Write   jane@example.com   3h ago      2026-09-14 11:40
Grafana monitoring             Read           sam@example.com    12d ago     2026-09-30 08:15
```

**THIS CLI** marks the token the CLI is using right now. `-o wide` adds the token **ID**. See [API tokens](/account/api-tokens). MCP tool: `list_api_tokens`.

### cloider token create and revoke

Generating and revoking API tokens is done in the dashboard, under **Access Control**, **API Tokens**. `cloider token create` and `cloider token revoke` print the link:

```text title="Output"
Error: Generating API tokens is done in the dashboard, an API token can't do it: https://cloider.com/dashboard/access-control?tab=api-tokens
```

To revoke the CLI's own token, run [`cloider logout`](/cli/commands/auth-and-profiles#cloider-logout). To get a new token for the CLI, run [`cloider login`](/cli/commands/auth-and-profiles#cloider-login).

## cloider whoami

Show who the CLI acts as, in which account, with which access, and where the token came from.

```text
cloider whoami [flags]
```

```bash
cloider whoami
```

```text title="Output"
User:        jane@example.com
Account:     billing@acme.example
Role:        Admin
Access:      Read & Write
Token:       Cloider CLI on janes-macbook
Profile:     acme
API:         https://cloider.com/api
Token from:  profile acme (/Users/jane/.cloider/tokens/acme)
```

**Access** is `Read` for a read only token or a Restricted member. `-o json` prints the API's answer with `user`, `account`, `role` and `token`:

```bash
cloider whoami -o json | jq -r '.role'
```

See [Authentication](/cli/authentication#check-who-you-are-logged-in-as-whoami). MCP tool: `whoami`.
