cloider domain command reference
cloider domain manages the domains of your account: free subdomains under cloider.app, and custom domains you own and point at Cloider's nameservers. Once you have a domain, cloider dns manages a custom domain's DNS records and cloider target routes its paths to apps and cluster services.
cloider domain <command> [flags]
Alias: cloider domains. Domains are named by their full domain name, such as example.com or blog.cloider.app; case and a trailing dot don't matter.

All subcommands also take the global flags.
cloider domain list
List the account's domains, whatever their status.
cloider domain list [flags]
Alias: cloider domain ls.
cloider domain list
DOMAIN TYPE STATUS CREATED
example.com CustomDomain Active 2026-09-01 10:00
blog.cloider.app Subdomain Active 2026-09-14 10:02
acme-shop.com CustomDomain Pending 2026-10-20 08:30
TYPE is Subdomain for a free subdomain and CustomDomain for a domain you own. STATUS is Pending, Active, Failed or Suspended; a new custom domain stays Pending until its nameservers point at Cloider. -q prints the domain names. MCP tool: list_domains.
cloider domain get
Show a domain and the routes (targets) on it.
cloider domain get <domain> [flags]
cloider domain get example.com
Domain: example.com
Type: CustomDomain
Status: Active
Created: 2026-09-01 10:00
ROUTE TARGET TARGET PATH PROTOCOL
example.com/ app web / -
example.com/api production/shop/api:8080 / TCP
See cloider target for the targets table. -o json prints the domain with its targets. MCP tool: get_domain.
cloider domain check
Check whether a free subdomain can be claimed. It succeeds (exit code 0) when it can and fails (exit code 1) with the reason when it can't, so you can use it in a script.
cloider domain check <domain> [flags]
cloider domain check blog.cloider.app
✓ blog.cloider.app is available
cloider domain check api.cloider.app
Error: api.cloider.app is not available: ...
-o json prints {"domain_name", "available", "reason"} and still sets the exit code. MCP tool: check_domain_availability.
cloider domain create
Claim a free subdomain, or add a domain you own. A name under cloider.app (for example blog.cloider.app) is claimed as a free subdomain; anything else is added as a custom domain, which you then point at Cloider's nameservers at your registrar.
cloider domain create <domain> [flags]
Claim a free subdomain:
cloider domain create blog.cloider.app
✓ Claimed blog.cloider.app
Route it with `cloider target create blog.cloider.app --app <app>`.
Add a custom domain:
cloider domain create example.com
✓ Added example.com
Point it at these nameservers at your registrar:
ns1.cloider.com
ns2.cloider.com
ns3.cloider.com
ns4.cloider.com
Then add records with `cloider dns create example.com ...` and routes with `cloider target create example.com ...`.
The domain is Pending until the nameserver change has reached the internet, which can take from minutes to a day or two depending on your registrar. See Free subdomains, Add a custom domain and Nameservers. -o json prints the API's answer. MCP tool: create_domain.
cloider domain delete
Delete a domain, with its DNS records and targets. For a free subdomain this releases it; for a custom domain, Cloider stops answering for it.
cloider domain delete <domain> [flags]
Alias: cloider domain rm. The command asks you to type the domain name; pass --yes to skip it.
cloider domain delete acme-shop.com
This permanently deletes domain acme-shop.com.
Type acme-shop.com to confirm: acme-shop.com
✓ Deleted acme-shop.com
See Delete a domain. MCP tool: delete_domain.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a free subdomain with the Cloider CLI?
Check it with cloider domain check blog.cloider.app, claim it with cloider domain create blog.cloider.app, and route it to an app with cloider target create blog.cloider.app --app blog. cloider deploy also claims one automatically for a new app.
How do I add my own domain?
Run cloider domain create example.com, then set the four nameservers it prints (ns1.cloider.com to ns4.cloider.com) at your registrar. The domain stays Pending until the change has propagated.
What does deleting a domain delete?
The domain itself, its DNS records and its targets (routes). Apps and clusters it routed to keep running.
